Welcome to AB Ballet & Pilates!

A budding ballerina from the age of five - dance, music and movement have been an integral part of Abby's whole life. Pilates arrived a little later during her training years at Central School of Ballet when a back injury threatened to end her aspirations of a professional dance career. Little did she know back then as a 17 year old student, that what seemed like a frustrating amount of time spent working through a rehab programme in the Pilates studio would eventually lead her to the work she loves and specialises in today.

The hard work and perseverence paid off and Abby went on to join The London Ballet Company where she performed as a Soloist for six years. It was also during this time that she discovered a passion for teaching and began freelancing at local dance schools.

Ready for a new challenge, Abby spent a year studying Pilates with the world renowned teacher, Alan Herdman. This fully comprehensive teacher training course was a deep dive into anatamony, rehabilitation and working with various conditions providing a solid foundation to work with a range of people with varying needs.

Though she loves working with people from all walks of life, Abby's ballet roots were never far from her mind and she has spent the past two years on The Royal Ballet School's Diploma of Dance Teaching expanding her knowledge of classical ballet, studying pedagogy, developing her teaching practice and specialising in conditioning & injury prevention for dancers. She is proud to be working closely with students at the English National Ballet School and Central School of Ballet to support them on their journey to becoming professional dancers with the knowledge and tools to sustain long and healthy careers.

In addition to this, Abby offers tailored private Pilates sessions, 1:1 ballet coaching, small group ballet classes for children & adults and barre fitness from her private studio in Beaconsfield as well as online.
